Industry Partnerships
Co-founded by our Managing Director, Adam Oliver, Nexus is a specialist people and culture task force made up of over 50 chief people officers from various sectors. In collaboration with an APPG (All-Party Parliamentary Group), we partner with government bodies and research institutions with a mandate to shape HR policies that address modern business needs.
Nexus hosts regular events featuring exceptional speakers and offers the exclusive “Next Generation CPO Development Programme” for senior HR leaders preparing for CPO roles. Our module-based skills development programme equips you with the competencies needed to excel as impactful CPOs. Designed and delivered by current chief people officers, this programme blends theoretical foundations with real-world applications, providing a comprehensive understanding of the modern CPO’s multifaceted role. The London HR Connection (LHRC) The London HR Connection (LHRC) is a long-established networking forum dedicated to the HR community. For over 40 years, the network has hosted monthly events featuring prominent guest speakers from business, academia, government, and employment law.
We’ve been supporting LHRC since 2016, providing financial and organisational support, connecting the board with key senior figures across HR, and driving member engagement. The current membership exceeds 4,000.
In early 2024, LHRC transitioned from a special interest group of the CIPD to a stand-alone not-for-profit organisation. We look forward to supporting LHRC’s chair, Craig McCoy, during this exciting period of change as the network explores new formats, attracts new members, and expands to new locations. HoRizon HRD Network (in partnership with Energy & Utility Skills)
We partner with Energy & Utility Skills to run a dynamic forum for HR directors in the energy & utilities sectors. Our inaugural roundtable in May 2019, “How do Institutional Investors Value Human Capital?”, launched a rapidly expanding network focused on strategic HR leadership. Currently hosted by Paul Cox and chaired by Dan Forth, the HoRizon HRD Network has 90 members who convene biannually for face-to-face meetings. These sessions facilitate discussions on talent development, future skills, digital transformation, and ESG principles. Members also receive insights through reports and virtual sessions.
Energy & Utility Skills maintain direct links to government through their involvement in various “green jobs” initiatives, positioning the HoRizon HRD network as an essential resource for HR Directors seeking insights into governmental strategies and macroeconomic planning.
